IT Workstation Support Technician
Position description
The Information Technology Workstation Support Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining all the Information Technology and Software needs of non-Information Technology employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responds to requests from users through the ticket support system, phone hotline, and walk-ins.

Creates and maintains support tickets, with an option to escalate if necessary.

Performs troubleshooting steps on equipment and network components to resolve issues.

Provides training and guidance to users on multiple devices and software packages.

Support users who are working remotely via telephone and remote access technology.

Configures, installs hardware and software, and deploys new user workstations.
-
Performs new printer setup, deployment, and workstation configuration.
-
Prepares IT equipment for recycling, donating, or disposal.
-
Generates and assists documentation creation and testing for procedures.

Performs periodic desktop and printer computer maintenance.

Performs tasks related to cable identification and cable management.
-
Performs periodic machine, software, and network component audits.
-
Run, terminate, and troubleshoot Ethernet cable runs.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with supporting servers, storage systems, and other similar resources.

Assist with supporting LAN, WAN, and network related hardware.

Comfortable working at heights of 30’ while operating a lift and boom.
Education/Experience
-
High School Diploma
-
Prefer Associate or Bachelor’s degree
-
Prefer at least one year experience in an IT related position
